What was my surprise that this film was shot in my next school placement! I also learned that it will be organizing the science fair that takes place when I'm on probation. Mathematics, I love you!

Since the beginning of the session, I feel much more interested in knowing than other years. I feel a duty to inform me about everything to pass it on to children. Knowing everything would be fantastic, but impossible! So during class, I note: the names given by our teachers, websites, books, questions, thoughts, questions ...

Since the last session that we had feared (at least I speak for myself!) Course in Foundations of Education, which we expected this fall. We had heard from others who had followed us and warned against any readings that gave rise to endless mini-quiz of the week.

I've just get real marvels cars! These Cyrus encyclopedia that tells (here you will find excerpts from some volumes) . This encyclopedia for children includes 12 volumes ( Amelie them all the luck! I, only 3!). Inside, some questions. The answers to these questions are about 3 to 4 pages are brought in story form through a dialogue between Cyrus (super scientist) and a child.

What is even more interesting is that those issues are real children raised in the radio 275-Hello (go see Answer Box ) Radio- Canada since 1989! I guarantee
I learn that each of the pages of these little gems!

Seems it that they are no longer available, so if you see one, jump at the chance!

Some illustrators have combined their talents to create this project which brings together two important things for me, the illustration and the environment.





This is a coloring project to educate youth in environmental conservation. Eventually all These illustrations form a coloring book. But until one, two illustrations will be published on the blog e-coloring each week and are intended to be downloaded and colored. Once colored illustrations, you can put them on this site and see the drawings have been other children. That's one way to make meaningful efforts by allowing others to see their accomplishments!

Hooray for Miss Environment! Project

This is a very interesting video! Since the environment is a constant concern and that today's children are bathed in the hope of making the world a better place to live, I think this video can be used in a school setting for initiate discussions on what we do to save the planet, what we could do on the economy (which often seems to me above all laws émisent for citizens) and probably many other topics.

It's great to see that children may be concerned about this issue point to canvass all needed to go and give their views in a thoughtful and intelligent, those who take any decisions ! I think this clip may serve as a model for new generations to whom we must teach respect for nature and, by extension, of others.

This is the daughter of David Suzuki ... no wonder she's so articulate about it!

Bully Dance is a movie created by the NFB to talk bullying.
I had the chance to see it in my course on teaching writing. It is a little gem of a film, without words, which affects a lot and that really reflect on the subject.
It is about the abuser and abused, of course, but also others who see but do nothing and also those around the abuser. Maybe there a reason for doing so ...

Several educational tracks can be constructed from this animation. Since it contains no words, it's a great way to write the children.
Moreover, the site of the NFB, it is possible to download a guide.

This film is part of series of 6 films ShowPeace designed conflict resolution.
